Dean Xie Zhaoxiong pointed out in his speech that under the impetus of national strategies such as green and sustainable development and innovation-driven development, the fine chemical and new materials industries are comprehensively moving towards high efficiency, green, and safe goals, accelerating transformation and development. Catalytic processes are common key issues facing the industry, among which continuous hydrogenation catalysis technology is the core and key, and an important part of the development of the chemical industry today. The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Xiamen University has always adhered to “ reaching for the sky and standing firmly on the ground ” development strategy, driven by the construction of important provincial and ministerial-level platforms such as the Jiegao Innovation Laboratory, striving to build a full-chain innovation system from basic research to engineering and industrialization. This conference focuses on continuous hydrogenation catalysis technology, analyzes the pain points and difficulties of the industry, builds a professional exchange platform for guests from academia, enterprises, and investment circles, and provides ideas for the transformation and upgrading of China's fine chemical and new materials industry.
Academician Zheng Nanfeng said that fine chemicals and new materials are important fields for breaking through national "stuck neck" technological problems and achieving the dual carbon goals, and continuous hydrogenation catalysis technology is one of the most critical issues in this field, and also an important application outlet for the downstream of the hydrogen energy industry chain. Aiming at the world's problems in the chemical industry, breaking through the key issues of new energy and new materials science and technology, and further giving play to the supporting role of scientific research in scientific research institutes, requires collaborative innovation from multiple disciplines, multiple units, and large teams. It is hoped that this conference will serve as an opportunity to bring together all parties to jointly focus on and promote technological innovation and transformation of achievements in the fine chemical and new materials industry, and contribute to the high-quality transformation and development of China's chemical industry.

At the meeting, Jiegao Innovation Laboratory incubated enterprises —— Xiamen Jiahydrogen Technology Co., Ltd. held strategic cooperation signing ceremonies with Feili Chemical, Pudao Machinery, Ludao Hydrogen Energy, and Jiamo Technology. Jiahydrogen Technology will carry out strategic cooperation with its partners in the fields of fixed-bed continuous hydrogenation catalysis technology, microchannel and tubular continuous hydrogenation catalysis, PEM electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen, AEM electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen, etc.
The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Xiamen University and Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Group Co., Ltd. jointly established “ Joint R&D Center for High-efficiency Catalysis Technology ” held a signing and unveiling ceremony.

After the meeting, the participants visited the Jiegao Innovation Laboratory and the National Engineering Research Center for High-end Electronic Chemicals (reorganized). A closed-door meeting on the demand matching of hydrogenation catalysis technology was held at the same time.
This conference focused on the development and application of continuous hydrogenation catalysis technology, gathered advantageous forces, and built a pragmatic platform for communication and cooperation among technology, industry, and capital.
